Congrats to our Students of the Week!! We are thrilled to highlight them for their hard work, dedication and outstanding achievements!!
4th- Candance Leone
5th- Yareli Lopez
6th- Alexa Gonzalez

We are so proud of these students for their Perfect Attendance during the second Six Weeks! We also want to give a big THANK YOU to their families for getting them to school every day! It makes a huge impact on their learning and growth!!

With the cool season quickly approaching, Enge Washington Intermediate hallways will be warmer with our 6th graders bravely displaying their first painting labeled Fire Painting.
These eco-friendly students recycled cardboard to use as canvases, which created unique
shapes and sizes of each project. Our student’s hands-on process of sketching their
design, choosing favorite colors and complimentary colors with use of the color wheel, and
applying acrylic paint and glitter made each painting come to visionary life.

We love to see peer tutoring at EWIS! Mrs. Biezenski observed 6th grader, Laramie Swinnea, and 4th grader, Yahaira Jackson, working through math problems together!

Mrs. Hoffman, our 5th grade Social Studies teacher, initiated the creation of a 5th Grade Student Advisory Council and held student elections to truly understand the electoral processes. Students ran for President, Vice President & Secretary of State and were required to campaign with posters and give a speech during lunch earlier in the week! 5th grade students voted and the winners were announced yesterday!
Congratulations to President, Luke Haynie, Vice President, Andrea Hernandez, and Secretary of State, Carlea Condon. These students will meet & collaborate regularly with EWIS staff & administrators in order to provide input, discuss issues and promote positive change for EWIS students & staff!
