I just wanted to give a special shout out to Misty O’Bryant for her hard work and dedication to make the Book Fair an AMAZING SUCCESS!! We, at Scholastic, could not reach our goal of getting more books into the hands of children without dedicated librarians like Ms. O’Bryant! I look forward to continuing our literacy partnership, getting more books into the hands and hearts of students.

3rd Grade did an outstanding job this morning performing their Veterans Day program for the school! Come see them Monday November 11th 11:00 at the Limestone County Courthouse, you will not be disappointed.
Reminder: 3rd grade students will have their Veterans Day program at H.O.W. tomorrow, Friday, November 8th at 9:30 in the cafeteria. Veterans and parents are invited to attend.
On Monday, Nov. 11th, the Veterans Day Program by the Ashburn Hanna American Legion Post 288 will be held at the County Courthouse. The third-grade students will also perform their musical program. The 21-gun salute and the official military “Taps” will be played on the west steps of the courthouse. Please have your children wear red, white and/or blue in nice dress for both days.
3rd grade students worked hard this past 6-weeks to earn points for the Triple "A" Store. Students can earn points for having good Attendance, positive Attitudes, and good Academics. Today was their first visit to shop the store and they had an amazing time! Way to go 3rd grade!
Today 2nd grade attended the H.O.W. Presidential Debate between Mr. Robertson and Mrs. Gutierrez before heading to the polls. We cannot wait until we find out who will win!
The polls are open and the lines are long. It's Election Day in 1st grade!
Join Parent University for College Night at the GHS Cafeteria on November 14 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Representatives from colleges and the military will be available to help parents and students explore various possibilities. It's never too early to start planning.
H.O.W. students LOVE shopping at the book fair! Remember you can send money to your student on their e-wallet or you can come in and shop with them before school. Doors open at 7:30!
