About Me

Howdy! My name is Marcus McGruder, and I am thrilled to be your Texas History teacher this year.

I am a proud graduate and Salutatorian of Groesbeck High School, Class of 2016. I continued my academic journey at Texas A&M University, where I earned my degree in Sociology in 2020. Currently, I am working towards my Master’s in Sociology at Prairie View A&M University, expecting to graduate in 2025.

I have a passion for education and community service. This is my second year teaching and my first at Groesbeck Middle School.

My teaching philosophy centers around creating an engaging and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.

I look forward to an amazing year of learning, discovery, and exploration in Texas History. Let’s make this a fantastic year together!
