2024-2025 ENROLLMENT/REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration

H.O. Whitehurst Elementary School will be holding Pre-K and Kindergarten Round-Up for the 2024-2025 school year. GISD offers a full day Pre-K program. Students that will be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2024 are eligible to enroll in Pre-K. 

Prek - State Funded through qualifications below

  1. The child is Limited English Proficient, or

  2. The child's family meets the Federal Income Guidelines for the National School Lunch Program, or

  3. The child is homeless, or

  4. The student is the child of an active duty member of the armed forces, or

  5. The student is the child of a parent who was killed or injured during active military duty, or

  6. The Child is current or was previously in the Foster Care Program, or

  7. The student is the child of a peace officer, firefighter, or an emergency medical first responder who is eligible for the Star of Texas Award.

Kindergarten

The student must be 5 years of age on or before September 1

  • If the student is already enrolled in our district as a current Pre-K student, registration is not needed. The student will roll-up into the Kindergarten classroom.

Please fill out the following forms to register your child for Pre-k or Kindergarten. If preferred, a paper packet can be picked up from Wolfe City Elementary instead.
