ACE - Afterschool Centers on Education
ACE Program at Groesbeck ISD
The ACE Program, After School Centers on Education, federally funded by the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant has been in operation in our school district since 2013. All K-6 students enrolled in Groesbeck ISD are eligible to attend the afternoon program, space permitting.
The ACE Program provides both academic and enrichment classes for all students conducted by Highly Qualified teachers and paraprofessionals. A portion of the afterschool program is devoted to mastering school-day concepts. The ACE Program also provides a variety of special enrichment classes, such as cooking classes, sports, technology, STEM, and many more. Additionally, students who attend ACE receive a full, nutritional and delicious meal each afternoon.
The ACE Program operates daily, from 3:35 – 6:00. Bus transportation is provided for our Monday - Thursday program to students who live within the city limits of Groesbeck. If enrolled in ACE, students are required to attend a minimum of 60 days within the school year. For information, contact Tracie Killingsworth at the H.O. Whitehurst campus.
