The Lady Goats will be traveling to Riesel tomorrow to face Riesel and Rapoport. Only the JV1 and Varsity teams will play tomorrow. There will be no practice in the morning. We will be leaving at 1:30. Please be at the gym at 12.
Today is the day. The Lady Goats will host the first scrimmage of the 2024 Volleyball season. Games will begin at 10 AM in the Varsity gym. Swing by and check out all their hard work from this past week of two a days. There will be no gate fee.

GISD comes together to recognize and celebrate. In recognition were new teachers, 2023-24 Teachers of the Year, perfect attendance, and the longest-employed staff member.

It's a great day to be a GOAT! GISD held its annual convocation this morning. Staff celebrated the beginning of a new school year with students, and Mr. Figueroa gave the opening remarks, with Dr. Shirley J. Neely Richardson as the keynote speaker. Food was provided by Centex Citizens Credit Union, Educators Credit Union, and the First Baptist Church. Go, GOATS!
The 2024 Lady Goats Volleyball schedule is ready, after confirming all games.
Official practices will begin Monday, August 5th at 8:00am in the High School gym. We will conduct 2 practices per day Monday-Thursday of next week. Practices are as follows: AM session - 8:00-10:00AM and PM session - 3:00-5:00PM.
Our first scrimmage will take place in Bosqueville on Friday, August 9th in the GHS main gym beginning at 10:00am. We will be playing 3 games.

If your student is missing any necessary UIL paperwork, it MUST be turned in before they can practice next week. We are still missing lots of paperwork. Please reach out to Kelly Grady at k.grady@groesbeckisd.net if you want to check on the status of your Volleyball athlete.
Groesbeck ISD welcomed new teachers will fellowship, a bus ride around the district and great meals from the Methodist Church and from the Church of Christ. Thank you Pastor Ben and Pastor Cliff for providing prayer and meals for our new teachers.
