It's a great day to be a GOAT! GISD held its annual convocation this morning. Staff celebrated the beginning of a new school year with students, and Mr. Figueroa gave the opening remarks, with Dr. Shirley J. Neely Richardson as the keynote speaker. Food was provided by Centex Citizens Credit Union, Educators Credit Union, and the First Baptist Church. Go, GOATS!

The 2024 Lady Goats Volleyball schedule is ready, after confirming all games. Official practices will begin Monday, August 5th at 8:00am in the High School gym. We will conduct 2 practices per day Monday-Thursday of next week. Practices are as follows: AM session - 8:00-10:00AM and PM session - 3:00-5:00PM. Our first scrimmage will take place in Bosqueville on Friday, August 9th in the GHS main gym beginning at 10:00am. We will be playing 3 games. **ALSO** If your student is missing any necessary UIL paperwork, it MUST be turned in before they can practice next week. We are still missing lots of paperwork. Please reach out to Kelly Grady at k.grady@groesbeckisd.net if you want to check on the status of your Volleyball athlete.

Groesbeck ISD welcomed new teachers will fellowship, a bus ride around the district and great meals from the Methodist Church and from the Church of Christ. Thank you Pastor Ben and Pastor Cliff for providing prayer and meals for our new teachers.

New Student Enrollment and Returning student registration is now active in the ASCENDER Parent Portal. Returning students may now complete registration and New Student may start the enrollment process. We will have staff from each campus available to assist parents/guardians in the registration process.

New Student Enrollment/Returning Student Registration

The 2024 GHS Volleyball season is quickly approaching. We will begin official practices on August 5th. We will have 2 practice per day, starting at 8:00-10:00am and again at 3:00-5:00pm. Our first scrimmage will be Friday, August 9, against Bosqueville. We will play 3 games at home starting at 10:00am. I will post the schedule in the coming days, once every game has been confirmed.
